Ghauri urges on sincerity for PPP-MQM to get along well

Updated at: 2208 PST, Sunday, November 29, 2009 KARACHI: Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Ghauri Sunday said tension-spawning people can tell as to why the estrangement arose between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Talking to Geo News, he said it is essential for both the parties to have sincere intention, if both the parties want to go along with each other. The MQM is not the beneficiary of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), as the criminal cases were filed on political basis, Ghauri said adding the people know very well who engineered these cases. On a query regarding the differences between the parties over Local Bodies governments, recent tension and political accusations, the MQM leader said it was due to the positive behaviour of the party that the conspiracy of riots in Sindh fizzled out and the situation remained under control.
