SEOUL: US President Barack Obama left South Korea for home Thursday, a US embassy spokesman said, wrapping up his four-country debut Asian tour.

In talks earlier Thursday with President Lee Myung-Bak, the two leaders agreed to cooperate on denuclearising North Korea and ratifying a bilateral free trade pact.

The US leader began his tour in Japan, going on to Singapore for an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum summit and then to China.
