Power crisis to be over with rental power houses LAHORE: The MD of Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) Tahir Basharat Cheema Saturday said the power crisis has gone significantly down since a few months; accordingly, load shedding is quite negligible.

Talking to Geo News, Basharat Cheema said the load shedding would again be commenced owing to the annual closure of canals from December 21.

The Pepco official said at least 1600 Megawatt of electricity would be incorporated in the system by December 30 and the power shortfall will dwindle into nothing through installation of more rental power houses by June 2010.

Basharat Cheema said the people will have to bear up the burden of further increase in power tariffs; they would be given relief, as the circumstances improve.
