Blast outside Naval Complex widely condemned ISLAMABAD: President, Prime Minister, Ministers and people from different walks of life Wednesday strongly condemned the suicide attack outside Naval Complex in Federal Capital that resulted in loss of a precious life and injuries to others.

President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the blast and said the terrorists involved in such heinous crime would not be spared.

Expressing deep grief and sorrow over the killing of Naval Constable who intercepted the suicide bomber at main gate, he said such incidents would not deter the government’s resolve to fight terrorism.

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, who is in Germany on an official visit while condemning the suicide attack said the government would continue its resolve to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country.

Chairman Senate Farooq H.Naek and Deputy Chairman, Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali termed the blast as a cowardly act designed to create chaos and instability in the country to disrupt the process of development.

Leader of the House in the Senate, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari and Leader of the Opposition, Wasim Sajjad have also flayed the attack on Naval Headquarters.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira while condemning the terrorist attack in Federal Capital reiterated government’s resolve to continue the efforts in the war against terror and not to allow anyone to disrupt peace in the country.

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi termed the suicide attack as barbaric and expressed sympathy with the members of bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery of injured.

Interior Minister, Rehman Malik said it was a desperate attempt by the terrorists to demoralize the people and disrupt the peace process.

Malik appreciated the efforts of security personnel and said that due to strict vigilance the suicide bomber failed in his attempt.

Minister for Water and Power, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Minister for Defence Ch. Ahmad Mukhtar, Minister for Defence Production, Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi also denounced the attack and said the terrorists are the enemies of the country and wanted to destabilize it but every effort would be made to eradicate them.

President, Pakistan Muslim League, Ch. Shujaat Hussain, Secretary General, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Minister of State for Defence, Arbab Muhammad Zahir Khan, Minister of State for Information, Syed Sumsam Ali Shah Bukhari and Parliamentary Secretary for Information, Azeem Daultana also condemned the blast.
