Pakistan taken under confidence on Afg strategy: Holbrooke

Updated at: 0306 PST, Saturday, December 05, 2009 WASHINGTON: US special representative to Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke has said no country has been taken under confidence more than Pakistan. Talking to Geo news correspondent here, Holbrooke said Pakistan’s civil and military officials were approached and taken under confidence over new Afghan policy before President Obama speech on it. Extremists carrying out terrorism in Pakistan are also killing Americans, he said adding, “We are talking to Pakistan government over matters relating to US drone strikes in Pakistan but nonetheless, there are no reports on drone attacks in Afghanistan.”
