PPP restores Aitzaz CEC membership

Updated at: 1749 PST, Friday, December 04, 2009 LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party leader Chaudhry Aitezaz Ahsan’s membership of the party’s Central Executive Committee has been restored. According to reports, Co-chairman PPP and President Asif Ali Zardari issued the orders to this effect after which Secretary General Jehangir released the notification, restoring Aitezaz’s CEC membership. It may be mentioned here that PPP had scraped the party’s CEC membership for assuming a role during lawyers movement which stood in clash with the party’s standpoint.
