President Karachi Bar Muhammad Ali passes away

Updated at: 0845 PST, Sunday, December 06, 2009 KARACHI: The president Karachi Bar Association (KBA) and senior lawyer Ali Abbas Advocate has died of cardiac arrest here on Saturday, Geo news reported. His funeral prayer will be offered at Jilani mosque in Gardan area of Karachi today afternoon. The dead body will be sent to Abbotabad, his native city, where it will be laid to rest while Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry expressed grave sorrow over his sad demise, sources said. General Secretary of KBA Naeem Qureshi told media lawyers will not attend courts to commemorate the death of Muhammad Ali Advocate and will hold a meeting in memorial of his sudden departure, sources added.
