Security high alert in Lahore after R’pindi terrorism

Updated at: 1612 PST, Friday, December 04, 2009 LAHORE: Following the terrorism incident in Rawalpindi, security arrangements have been made strict also in Lahore. As per Geo News representative, a circular has been issued by the IG-Punjab according to which terrorists have reportedly entered in Lahore through motorway and they may target important official buildings including police department. He ordered all police officers and motorway officials to make security arrangements more alert. This may be recalled that security arrangements were relaxed upto some extent for facilitating the people during Eid vacations but security was again made high alert since last night.
