Strike observed in parts of Karachi on JSQM ‘s call

KARACHI: In response to the strike call of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) in Sindh, shops and trade activities remained suspended in some parts of Karachi.

While three vehicles were also set ablaze by unknown armed men. The JSQM had given a strike call for its missing vice chairmn Akash Malah. As a result, shops and business activities remained suspended in Gulistan-e-Johar, Safora Goth, Sachal and University Road.

In some parts of the city, aerial firing was also heard. Besides, some unidentified people had torched a car and a passenger bus near NIPA roundabout the other night.

According to the reports, another passenger bus was set on fire by unknown men near Safari Park and subjected the bus driver to torture. A police encounter was also reported after which the gunmen fled the scene.
