Swat suicide attack condemned

Updated at: 1608 PST, Tuesday, December 01, 2009 ISLAMABAD: Political leaders have strongly condemned the killing of member NWFP Assembly Dr. Shamsher Ali Khan in a suicide attack. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed grief over the incident and summoned report of initial probe. Prime Minister has directed the concern authorities to provide medical facilities to blast vicitims. President Asif Ali Zardari while denouncing the attack said such attacks strengthened government’s resolve against terrorism. Governor NWFP Owais Ahmad Ghani, Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Syed Munnawar Hasan, Federal Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, governor and chief minister Balochistan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Sindh Information Minister Shazia Murree and other political leaders also condemned the attack.
