KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) directed various officials including 28 SHOs in Karachi, Chief Secretary and Interior Secretary to submit an exhaustive report within four weeks on a constitutional petition filed against the ongoing target killing in Karachi. Justice Musheer Alam and Justice Aqeel Abbasi heard the petition. Sindh Deputy Interior Secretary Kamran Dost appeared at the court; while, Advocate General showed up at the court on the part of defendants. The petitioner Iqbal Kazmi told the court that at least 446 people including workers of various political parties have been killed in the city till last month and no assassin has been arrested. The court ordered the defendants to submit to the court the details within one month as to how many people of which party were killed and what steps the government took to stem these killings. |
