Updated at: 1815 PST, Thursday, December 03, 2009 LAHORE: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Thursday that had the national exchequer not robbed relentlessly; the Pakistani nation would have been in a position to help others instead of begging. This he said while speaking at a ceremony hosted to mark the World Disability Day in Al-Hamra Hall of Lahore. The chief minister announced the establishment of an exclusive village for special children. Besides, he also announced a special package for the teachers of special children. Sharif also set up a special committee to be headed by provincial minister Malik Iqbal Channer with the objective to create employment opportunities, provision of technical education for the disabled children. |
